I am a curious person who values community. I am fascinated with
data, and how to make empirical predictions and inferences from
that data. My curiousity and passion regarding data draws me to
all aspects of science.
Education has always been a passion of mine, and I have taken
every opportunity to take courses in public speaking, to teach,
and to perform outreach. This has recently cumulated in publishing
the first USA high school quantum computing book open-source with
Springer. For more, see my
Education tab.
Research shows that the most important quality for productivity is
feeling valued. I invest energy to ensure that I create an
enviroment that increases everyone's happiness and productivity. I
care about social equity, and work to ensure there is upward
social mobility and an increase in diversity, inclusion, and
retention.
My interests outside of science include
socialising, volunteering, exploring digital privacy in the
misinformation age, being zero-waste to reduce my enviromental
impact (composting, clean energy, not consuming plastic), and
hiking.
